JM Badge Logo

  • Hey there,

i'm still working on a new logo!

    Here's a new one, click!
  • Very nice Jan!
I don't exactly understand the sunglasses at the top though.
  • Because sunglasses make you look cool...right?

    :)

    Oh....and just pick a logo already! :)
  • I personally prefer the simpler options you created a while back. This one seems like there is too much going on, and I'm not sure how well it would render at smaller sizes.
  • thats my eyeglasses, no sunglasses :)

@joshuanhibbert my new website will be designed in the same style and i'll never use it smaller than on a business card so i think it's ok!

    thanks for your feedback!
  • hey there...

got another idea.. i really like it and i think thats my final one :)

    Click

  • I like that one ^

Very clean, and quite clever the way you have created it.

I suck when it comes to re-branding or logo design.

  • The latest one you posted is AWESOME!

  • The latest version is quite good. Might need some slight tweaking, but that's the one I would go with!

  • @joshuanhibbert what exactly should be tweaked?

  • Sorry, I should have elaborated further in my original comment. Some of the things I would recommend playing with:

    • • Matching the widths of the outside border, the white area, and the separation that creates the 'J'.
    • • Fixing the radius of the curves in the 'M', they feel quite unnatural at the moment.
    • • Increasing the size of your name next to the logo.
  • I'm going to be quite honest here in a constructive way. If you remove the type from your latest design approach, that mark is illegible to view as "JM" by itself. Looking at your past work, I think you have the potential to do much better. It seems some of what you're presenting here looks rushed or not well thought out. Have you been sketching out ideas before implementing them in Illustrator? If not, I strongly advise to do so. .

    Examples of great logo marks:

General Electric (GE) by Doyald Young

    GP by Ged Palmer.
