Is it just me or does it look backwards?
and should the size of the navigation be larger and more predominant?
also it looks REALLY bland. im not really sure what i should do. what i could do. ive tried multiple backgrounds. but nothing strikingly good.

I would make it take up as much of the top as possible. Also, use a different font for your headers - maybe Georgia.

but should the arrow be pointing the other direction? or would that look weird. i dont know. looks weird.
