The site design wise reminds me of a chocolate bar! Depending on what you are trying to accomplish with your site this may be perfect for you. For smaller sites having a simple design can be good, I imagine it would read well on an iPhone as well. If you want more than 3-5pages though I think you might have issues with the limited 440px width.

If you are looking for a simple page with just a section about who you are then this is probably perfect to get your point across. I like your hover effect where the background changes on that effect it seems to be the trend lately (with or without underline).

Either way for what it is I like it, loads fast, simple layout, no excess fat!
