I'm using Joomla for a two-three years and now I'm playing with WP, but I'm confused with WP concept compared to Joomla? So, does someone have some advice, article or anything about differences between Joomla and WP?
I would highly recommend that you pick up Chris' book Dig Into Wordpress. It's probably the most straight forward guide I've seen for Wordpress that I've seen, and it's been the most helpful for me.
Grab the book, go to digwp.com and what I'd begin to do is download several free themes and then study them.
The first place you'll probably want to arrive to is how to simply make WP a basic CMS for a standard website, which is pretty straight forward. Then you'll probably start getting familiar with WP's plugins, and then eventually start working your way through loops. But start with a good resource and some existing themes.
In my opinion, I think Joomla is great for what it does and can do. While WP I see as a blog engine that wants to be a CMS like Joomla. I'm not discrediting the capabilities of WP I just thing out-out-box experience you get more with Joomla.
Things to use one over the other has to be the important factor. If your really into joomla they do have an extension for WP in Joomla (kinda weird).
I definitely got more out of the box experiences with Joomla. Unfortunately they were headaches and clients complaining they couldn't navigate the admin panel :)
