Interesting designs. Personally I like #2 better than #1.
I am actually the opposite of you I am good at coding but my artistic skills are somewhat lacking. I understand how to use ps and I know most of the tools in it but knowing the tool doesn't produce art. Keep up the good work and keep learning.
