That said, any time you are dealing with another language, it might make sense to talk to someone who can read Japanese so you don't accidentally offend anyone. Your "random Japanese characters" may just end up being someone else's curse word.
The problem is that I'm looking to get the words for Aikido which is three letters Ai Ki and Do. If I use the translator tools I get AIKIDO if that makes sense.
I'll try to make it clearer. AIKIDO is three characters but I get six.
There are several forms of character in Japanese, romaji - English letters like aikido then also - kanji, hiragana and katakana which are characters. Some may use more symbols than others. This is aikido in katakana ???? The 1st symbol is a, the 2nd symbol is i, 3rd is ki and last is do. Try this site if you need more info http://arakawa.edrdg.org/
I have a little project to redesign a martial arts school site.
I'm trying to find some Japanese characters but I cant seem to find any. I've also tried to type them on my iMac but I don't really know how to.
Any pointers?
