Why the code and the browser withs are different?

OK, I saw a strange bug there and I made 2 sreenshots:
[attachment=1]dif_code.gif[/attachment]
[attachment=0]dif_psd.gif[/attachment]
So why the widths are different?

The only reason I can think of is that there is padding or margins in place. So the wider width is there to provide space for the contents to be inside. Maybe you just didn't select the right element.
