I did the site using the knowledge gained from this site and Chris' videos.
Did it on my Mac using Codekit + Compass/SCSS.
Behind the scenes it is a ASP.Net driven site but the HTML is pretty clean, none of the funny ctl_000 stuff.
Interested in your thoughts if you get a free opportunity.
I would personally remove the "made by" bit at the bottom.
The transitions are really nice! The content is laid out well and I can find what I need easily. The color scheme is also pretty - I would personally not have gone for the blue and green striped look as it looks a bit 2003ish but it seems to work with the content.
I'll echo the sentiment of not putting "made by" in the footer. The copyright already points towards elmsoftware, so I would recommend that if you want designer/developer visible somewhere, put it in a comment in the HTML file.
Speaking of comments, awesome head on that file!
I like the colours, they're very soothing. The orange is coming out of the left field some, but I'm assuming that it's from something in the app or whatnot.
Overall, it's a nice design, very... yes, soothing. Good transitions from desktop to mobile too.
Thank you all very much for the feedback! That is greatly appreciated!
John, thanks for the W3 link. Need to work on the circles a bit. They may be trying to hard to accomplish my goal. Thank you.
theacefes: Thank you for your recommendation about removing the 'made by' link. I will do it, gone later today! Those colors are my palette so I thought I would splash em up there. Thank you for your help with the link and your thoughts.
Melindrea: Two votes for no 'made by' link! Its a goner. :) I tried my best to make the header minimal and effective. It is done in ASP.Net and I focused on minimalism. Thank you. Glad you like the color theme as well. The theme/color palette is throughout the actual Windows program (that the site sells) so I thought I might as well continue it on the home page. Ultimately my entire windows program should be a complete web program for wedding planning. So now I have a little bit of a start with the color pallette and coding structure/grid system.
