I am not even sure where to begin. I have been hunting for the culprit all day, but can't find my problem. I have taken the header code from wordpress (ala http://css-tricks.com/video-screencasts/48-skinning-phpbb/) but no modification to the header file for phpBB makes a difference. Also dug through style.css from wp to no avail. HELP!

well never mind. I hacked a way out using a negative margin and added a div spacer. its kinda nasty but it works.
