How to design box as in CSS-TRICKS logo

Hi All,
I am new here and also new to web design . But i have knowledge on CSS. and .net development.
I am designing a site and i want to include a design as yoou all can see above (CSS-TRICKS logo ribbon).
can any1 help me how i can do a similar one ?

Just because you're new doesn't mean we can give you a complete tutorial on how to do it.....
Look at the graphic and see how things are done:
http://css-tricks.com//wp-content/themes/CSS-Tricks-9/images/CSS-Tricks-logo.png
Open up your graphic software and make something like that using lines, blocks, shadows, effects, etc.
Check the source code of this site to see how the text is placed/positioned/styled.
There is no magic link we can give you to teach you how to do things, you'll just have to look at what you want and create it yourself I'm afraid.
