WordPress forcing itself on physical directories and files

    I'm having an issue, and I've never had this problem before. .why now i dont know

    WP install in domain.com

    physical file domain/file.php
    go to that file and get WP 404. ..

    i dont have a page or post called file, or nothing like that..

    what can i do,, this is a real bummer
