Will installing internet explorer 8 delete my stuff saved in my computer?

    My computer at work is on internet explorer 7, and I was wondering if I install internet explorer 8 and restart the computer if it delete the work I have saved on my desktop and in microsoft office?

    Nope. You're not overwriting Windows, you're updating an old program to a newer version. Just like a newer version of MS Office.

    In any case, you should probably be on IE9 by now, I'm not even sure you CAN install IE8 any more...I think it will update itself to the latest version unless you tell it not to.

    Probably Windows XP, it will only allow to upgrade to IE8 and not higher.

    @Paulie_D Mighty fine OS, I think! Too bad there's a lot of people who still use it and don't move on to Windows 7.
