is there an easy way to just shrink the website just a bit if its on a small screen? or do I have to resize all my elements which is annoying but not the worst thing I have ever done...
It looks fine to me on in a smaller viewport although you lose a menu entry ('other') under 1084px wide but that's because that menu seems to be outside of any 960px wrapper.

It's a quick and handy tool. It's no phone/tablet emulator but for media queries it's not bad...for free.
Or adjust screen resolution.
