Hey guys, I just want to show you guys my portfolio. NONE of them are coded properly since im still learning how to code :D . But the designs are still there. Its not much but enjoy it!
-- the All caps text is a bit small, and being in all caps makes it more difficult to read. You might consider increasing the text size and using both lowercase and uppercase letters. -- any reason you have two version of your navigation so close to each other? I could understand repeating your navigation in your footer, but having both navigation in the upper right corner and in the blue tabs is a bit confusing. I'd suggest picking one or the other, but not both. -- Just for consistency's sake, you might want to make the preview images in your portfolio all the same size.
Keep practicing the coding, and hopefully you'll eventually get to the point where you can hand code rather than using Photoshop's Save to Web feature (or ImageReady) -- it'll give you a lot more flexibility in the long run. ;)
A little tip about the Portfolio screenshots\samples...
Don't take this the wrong way, but I would try to crop out or cut out something interesting. This is my opinion, but if you're giving a taste of something, you want to give them the best, or atleast something that represents the site. Just for example, your first one... The only thing we see is a gradient with Home, About, and "Simple Silver" text. That shows nothing about the site. Or, the "gaming template"... From the crop you're showing, you can't tell that it has anything to do with gaming, especially since you're cropping the logo in half.
yea I agree with everythign said above - although, could some parts be down scaled a bit? I work on a 1280x1024 res and its big for me, so I can imagine it being pretty huge for someone on the most used 1024x768 res, perhaps you are lucky and have a bigger TFT than me :D
Your portfolio page needs a lot of improvement, at the moment it looks more like a collection of add banners. I think you need to really show that page some love - pull it out of the bag, you are a web designer so you need to show how hot you are! :D
When they hit that page they need to say WOW, without clicking on anything. Also it feels very claustrophobic, on my res (1280x1024) your body doesn’t fit within my window, so I actually have to scroll to see all of your footer, this is obviously going to be worse for a 1024 user. This in itself isn’t the issue, scrolling isn’t bad, but on your portfolio page you have your content section scrolling too. What I would do is let it stretch and have only the main site scrolling, this would make it easier for you to help with more resolution compatibility.
EDIT:
Ok I just looked into your code, please dont take offence at this... You are using tables and an iFrame along with <center> tags - I would seriously invest some time in bringing your HTML/CSS knowledge base up to date...

I like the blue you're using. Contrast = fun
