Freelance advertising sites

    Hi,
    I am considering doing freelance work but I am having trouble finding sites that advertise freelance work. I found this site http://jobs.freelanceswitch.com/ but then I realised you have to pay to apply. Does anybody know any sites that advertise freelance work. I am in the UK so any sites aimed there or sites that say "anywhere" and you don't have to pay to apply.

    Not really aimed at the UK but hope it helps
